About Peppa
Founder of Truth and Beauty in 2005, and of its later form, The Commotion Digital Gallery — twenty years spent presenting and advancing contemporary photography, first from a storefront in Vancouver and later from a platform reaching far beyond it.
Peppa opened Truth and Beauty as a storefront gallery in Vancouver, BC in 2005, building it over fifteen years into a dedicated home for contemporary photography in the city.
In 2020, she repositioned the gallery as The Commotion Digital Gallery, carrying the same commitment to independent, international photographers into an online platform built around four pillars: the Print Room, the Online Viewing Room, Culture, and Community.
As director and curator, she has represented individual works from over 90 photographers, organized seasonal digital exhibitions, and hosted talks, workshops, and The Click, the gallery’s podcast for guests from across the industry. After twenty years across both galleries, she has announced her retirement.
