An archive of two galleries
Past Exhibitions + Events
A record of programming across both eras of the gallery: the fifteen years Truth and Beauty spent as a storefront gallery in Vancouver, and the years since as The Commotion Digital Gallery. Different formats, same underlying commitment to contemporary photography.
Rotating solo & group exhibitions
Fifteen years of exhibitions on the gallery floor, introducing independent photographers to Vancouver audiences one show at a time, and building the roster that would later become the Print Room.
In-person artist talks
Openings paired with conversations between Peppa and the exhibiting photographer, held in the storefront space for whoever happened to walk in that evening.
Digital exhibitions in the Online Viewing Room
The storefront’s exhibition rhythm carried into a new, screen-based format, refreshed each season and reaching an audience well beyond Vancouver.
Zoom talks & instructional workshops
Programming under Culture, extending the gallery’s public talks into a format open to a wider, more distant audience than the storefront ever reached.
The Click — the gallery’s podcast
Conversations with guests from across the photography industry, continuing the spirit of the in-person artist talk in a format anyone can listen back to.
